OWA at Vision Expo 2026 [Photos]

We were delighted to welcome attendees to beautiful Orlando for our annual Champagne Breakfast, celebrating 2026 OWA award recipients: Susy Yu, OD (Pleiades Award), Liz Friedfeld (Pyxis Award), Alessandra Senici (Polaris Award), and Cathy Firman (Emerging Leader Award).

The Champagne Breakfast brought together professionals from across the industry for a morning of connection, inspiration, and celebration. Set in an energizing and welcoming atmosphere, the event offered attendees a chance to network with peers, strengthen relationships, and engage in meaningful conversations around leadership, career growth, and community within the industry. The breakfast reinforced OWA’s mission to support and advance women in optical.

Throughout the morning, guests enjoyed the signature champagne breakfast that has become a hallmark event. The gathering highlighted the power of community and mentorship, leaving attendees feeling motivated, supported, and more deeply connected to the OWA network. The Champagne Breakfast once again served as a reminder of the impact that intentional networking and collective support can have in shaping the future of the optical profession.

The Stars, Sips & Scholarships networking event focused on connection, celebration, and support for the next generation of women leaders in optical. The event combined networking in a relaxed, social setting with a spotlight on OWA’s scholarship initiatives, reinforcing the organization’s mission to connect, inspire, and grow women through education and leadership development while fostering meaningful relationships across the optical community.
