Full Circle is a flexible, informal program. You can connect with mentors or mentees at a pace that works for you, whether that’s through regular meetings or occasional check-ins. There are no strict schedules—how you engage is up to you.

No prior mentoring experience is required. The program is designed to foster learning and growth from both sides. Whether you're mentoring, being mentored, or doing both, you'll gain new insights and skills along the way.

That’s okay! Many members find themselves in both roles at different points. The program encourages fluidity, so you can start as a mentee, switch to a mentor, or even balance both roles, depending on your needs and experiences.

By joining Full Circle, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your network, gain fresh perspectives, and develop professionally and personally. Signing up for the Full Circle Mentorship program is simple! Choose one of the exciting events planned for 2025 and register to participate. Here’s what’s lined up: • Virtual Meetups: Short, guided discussions followed by 1:1 "speed dating" sessions with peer mentors and fellow OWA members, fostering quick connections and impactful exchanges. • Mentor Talks: One-hour facilitated discussions featuring topics tailored to specific career stages, providing insights and advice from experienced mentors. To get paired up with a mentor, there are several ways: 1. Look for the Yellow Badge: Visit the OWA Member Directory (https://members.opticalwomen.com/members-directory-new.asp?action=full)and search for members who have the yellow Member Mentor badge enabled. These members are open to being contacted for mentorship opportunities. 2. Review Profiles: Check out the profiles of potential mentors to see if they possess the skills or expertise in areas where you’re seeking guidance. This helps you find a mentor whose experience aligns with your needs. 3. Join Virtual Meetups: Participate in OWA’s virtual meetups,(https://www.opticalwomen.com/events) where you’ll be paired with others for quick, informal meetings. These meetups can help you connect with potential mentors and decide if you’d like to establish a mentor / mentee relationship. 4. If you’re unsure where to start or need assistance finding a mentor, you can complete the Mentorship Questionnaire.(https://members.opticalwomen.com/full-circle-mentorship-questionnaire.asp) This short survey will help us understand your goals and preferences, allowing the mentorship committee to identify a suitable mentor match.
