Baking in my grandma’s kitchen.

Baking has been a constant thread in my life. I remember baking with my grandmother and my mom, learning all their tips and tricks. My dad of course was always ready willing and able to be the official taste tester. I love baking so much I went to college and got a degree in baking & pastry arts.

Chef in training at Johnson and Wales University

This recipe for chocolate almond oatmeal cookies was originally from my grandmother, was passed down to my mom, and then to me. We have tweaked it a little over the years, and it is still as tasty as I remember from my childhood. It is one of the cookies that is requested for every holiday and whenever I make or eat them it brings back happy holiday memories.

The best part is watching my friends and loved ones enjoy the things I bake for them. The recipe is quick to put together and can easily be doubled. So… let’ go make some Chocolate Almond Oatmeal Cookies!
