Dear OWA Members,
Serving as President of the Optical Women's Association over the past two years has been one of the greatest privileges and honors of my career. During a time in history that we will never forget that has impacted our families, our careers, our industry, and every aspect of our day to day lives, I could not be more proud and inspired by our members and sponsors that continued to lead and inspire during these unprecedented times.
While I've truly missed the opportunities of connecting with you all in person, the OWA has been able to adapt in the virtual world, creating more ways for women to connect, inspire, and lead. I'm excited for the upcoming Vision Expo West show this week and the chance to see many of you at the OWA's Connection Series Luncheon.
As Immediate Past President I will remain active on the Board of Directors and have committed to furthering our work in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion of all women in optical. I am looking forward to being led by our new President, Deb Bulken, and working alongside 3 new Board members — Trudi Charest, Courtney Myers, and Janna Neal, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the OWA. We've never been in better hands.
To all of our members — thank you for all of your contributions to the OWA. I encourage you to continue to stay involved and take advantage of all the great benefits this organization has to offer. The OWA is stronger than ever, and I can confidently say there is so much more to come. We're just getting started!
Thank you all,
Robyn Crimmins
OWA President
