Dear OWA Members,
It is so nice to see smiling faces again! In stores, parks, and restaurants I am seeing fewer people wearing masks and it seems the collective spirit of relief and optimism is everywhere. Earlier this month, the OWA gathered in Orlando at Vision Expo East and hosted a free Regional Event for both members and non-members in person for the first time since 2019. People were genuinely happy to see one another and the event reflected the positive energy felt by everyone at the show. While the OWA will continue to work hard to bring members together virtually, we know there is nothing like being together in person. We are setting our sights on resuming our signature onsite events at Vision Expo West in Las Vegas including celebrating our 2020 Leadership Scholarship winners, our Pleiades Award winner Gai Gherardi, and our Pyxis Award winner, Debbie Myres. Look for more information about these events coming soon!
Thank you to all of the people in the optical industry who support the OWA as members and sponsors. I hope you have a wonderful summer filled with a renewed sense of prosperity, health and smiling faces.
