OWA Leadership Scholarship Winners

With the mission to uplift and support women leaders, the OWA's Leadership Scholarship Award Program was created to provide a unique opportunity for nominated OWA members who show promise, dedication, and drive, and have provided volunteer service in helping the OWA reach its goals.

2019 was the inaugural year for this program, granting awards to two recipients. In response to its overwhelming popularity, the OWA expanded the program in 2020, allowing Platinum Level sponsors the opportunity to award a scholarship to a leader within their own organization. The recipients of this award will be granted an esteemed leadership experience (seminar, conference, workshop, etc.) for professional and personal development.

The 2020 award recipients are:

A couple of the award winners shared their thoughts about what receiving this award means to them:

"I felt honored to be one of this year's OWA Leadership Awardees and have enjoyed all of the opportunities to connect and engage with OWA members. I love co-hosting the OWA Talks podcast with Stephanie to bring conversations from leaders in the industry in an easy-to-consume format that allows OWA members ongoing professional development." — Sandra Mohr

"It was announced at our year-end company meeting that I was a recipient of the OWA Leadership Award. I am incredibly honored and humbled to have been chosen to receive this award. My hope is to use the knowledge gained to assist me by enhancing my team, my company, and the volunteer organizations I work with, now and for future growth. I consider myself fortunate to have this great opportunity and plan to share what I learn from this experience with individuals I encounter in my professional and personal life." — Cathy Firman

Be sure to reach out and congratulate these ladies! You may read more about the OWA Leadership Scholarship Program. These awards are funded through Individual Contributor Program Donations.
