The 2021 theme of International Women's Day is Choose To Challenge with a focus on celebrating women's achievements. In recognition, the OWA will be hosting a virtual event #ChoosetoChallenge Through Connection with keynote speaker Erin O'Malley on March 10 at 4:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET.
Through her Connection Framework, O'Malley helps leaders and organizations unlock the power of human connection for success in life and business. This session will highlight what happens to our authority with the overuse of "sorry," what to say instead, and how we can embrace and practice praise — giving new perspectives on how we can celebrate the women of OWA!
Everyone is welcome and you don't have to be a member to join this engaging event. Encourage your friends and peers to joint the #ChoosetoChallenge Through Connection.
Additionally, the OWA was also featured on the Power Hour radio show, hosted by Dr. April Jasper and Dr. Gary Gerber on March 3. OWA President Robyn Crimmins, and two OWA members — Janna Neal, Vice President of Operations for Zyloware and Trudi Charest, Co-Founder of Marketing4ECPS — talked about how the OWA inspires and connects its members to advance and celebrate the leadership roles of women in the optical industry.
