Earlier in 2019, in an effort to expand its social media presence, the OWA launched a digital ambassador program. So far this year, as part of that program, we introduced you to Jennifer Lyerly, O.D., and Arian Fartash, O.D.

Now, we'd like for you to get to know a little about our third ambassador, Autianna Wilson. She is a 10-year veteran in the eyecare industry, an optician, a blogger at The Optical Goddess Life, and an eyewear advocate.

In less than two years, Wilson started and grew her influential Instagram following to well over 10,000 people. She has successfully created a brand and audience in the optical industry while following her goal of sharing her passion with other like-minded and interested individuals.

Her posts cover eyewear, eye care, eye facts, lens knowledge, and her honest opinions on anything eye related. You may have seen The Optical Goddess herself at an optical event. She has been zipping around the world near and far connecting with optical industry leaders while building and promoting her brand.

Wilson believes that social media is the true link that enables connections with people, and participating in it increases inclusivity and openness while showcasing all aspects of our diverse industry. "I believe in this technological world that social media has become the true LINK to connect others with each other, she says. "Social media is really a platform where you can share your life."

As a proud OWA member, Wilson encourages other women to be a part of our supportive, motivating, and inspiring organization. "The greatest benefit of it all is being a part of something that supports, motivates, and inspires woman from all different parts of the optical industry," she says.

If you missed seeing The Optical Goddess at VEW this year, you'll most likely be able to greet her at another optical event in 2020. In the meantime, follow her on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, in addition to these other women who she "likes":
