May 2017 : Marge Axelrad honored as Prevent Blindness Person of Vision

OWA founding member and Jobson Optical Group Senior Vice President Marge Axelrad was honored March 30th as the Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Award recipient for 2017.

The Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Award recognizes an individual or organization whose inspired outlook champions healthy vision and its importance for a healthy life.

When asked for her thoughts on this honor, Marge's response was:

"I was honored to be chosen by the great people at Prevent Blindness who do so much for people in need of vision care across the U.S. and who are committed to public vision health awareness."

"I was thrilled that special friends put together some words about me — Peter Friedfeld of Clearvision, Howard Purcell of Essilor, Sue Downes of MyEyeDr. and, of course, the one-of-a-kind friend/boss/mentor Marc Ferrara."

"It was an unforgettable evening; I have the privilege of knowing so many wonderful people throughout all sectors of the business, who are friends and colleagues, over many years."
