Michelle recently became the Associate Executive Director of the OWA. In this role dedicated to serving the membership, she works closely with Dave Beebe and with the board. She has jumped in enthusiastically to help Dave with a myriad of administrative duties and is responsible for member and sponsor communications. She's been a great addition to the team and shares a bit about herself below . . .
I am an attorney by training and practice. Spending the first part of my career in the Commercial Real Estate field, I have extensive experience with asset management and all that entails, including commercial lease negotiations, valuations and property budgeting. After leaving the workforce to become a stay-at-home mom in 2000, I devoted myself to philanthropy, involving myself extensively in church, school and community volunteerism. My return to the workforce last year was seamless as I began my job at Madeleine Crouch & Co (the OWA's association management firm). The skills I developed as a volunteer for various non-profit organizations are put to use daily, as is my background in the legal field. I have been married to my husband, Matt, for 20 years and we have two awesome children, Will, age 15, and Sydney, age 13. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, read, run and travel. I recently completed my third marathon in the City of Light and I am looking forward to my fourth, wherever and whenever that may be.
