The whole "resolution for a whole year" process has never filled me with joy, but I enjoy a good challenge and try to introduce one new resolution each month — things like seeing more friends, spending more time writing, walking every day, or just simply routinely getting up early to welcome each new day with silent focus.

Show Your Support of the OWA as an Individual Contributor

There are many reasons to become an individual contributor of the OWA. As one of our contributors states, "It truly makes me feel good knowing that I am doing a small part to support all of the incredible women of our industry, so many who have faced past adversity in a male-dominated business and who are now leaders in their own right. Knowing I am personally supporting these women is a true benefit unto itself."

Food for Thought

"Food for Thought . . . where food breaks down barriers and brings us all to the table!"

Food for Thought was created to facilitate dialogue with our neighbors and to embrace and highlight the diversity of our OWA members. Gathering together at the table promotes fellowship and provides a place of love and peace. If you have a recipe to feature in Food for Thought, send your submission to .

In the Italian tradition, baccala is typically the first course of the Feast of the Seven Fishes and is served on Christmas Eve. Sharing her Grandma Maria Capaldi's recipe, OWA member Pamela Capaldi has enjoyed this dish made with a variety of fish or shellfish — squid, octopus, snails, white fish, shrimp, crab, and lobster. Buon Natale!!
