The OWA hosted two events during Vision Expo East — the Champagne Breakfast on Thursday, March 21, and the Star Birthday cocktail reception on Friday, March 22. To say they were popular would be an understatement.
Each event broke its individual attendance records, with the breakfast event (held at the famous Edison Ballroom) attracting 400 attendees and the cocktail party (held onsite at the Javits Center for the first time) enjoyed by 360 attendees.
The Champagne Breakfast celebrated honorees Holly Rush (Pleiades Award), Laura Lewis (Pyxis Award), and Jessica Goebert (Emerging Leader Award). It also featured a Q&A talk by Katie Taylor, Chair of the Board of Royal Bank of Canada and former CEO + president of the Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts. A surprise performance by The Late Show Gospel Choir got everyone in the right mindset to start their Vision Expo experience.
A highlight of the cocktail party was a lively raffle of great prizes, which attendees could win by submitting their #DoMore interests. Also special? A signature Starlight Cocktail of pink lemonade and vodka.
